I build on Shopify Plus: checkout UI extensions, Shopify Functions for discount, delivery and payment rules, and Plus theme work. It's for Plus merchants whose checkout logic lived in Scripts or checkout.liquid, which no longer run. One extension or Function starts at $675 (15 hours at $45), and most jobs take 1 to 4 weeks.

1 to 4 weeks. One extension or Function is usually 15 to 25 hours; replacing a full set of Scripts can take 40 hours or more.

When you don't need me

B2B is the thin part of my Plus work. I wrote a growth plan for an 8,000+ product wholesale store covering B2B reorder flows and per-unit and case pricing, but I haven't built a native Shopify B2B setup with company profiles and price lists for a client. If that is most of your project, a developer who has shipped Shopify B2B before is the safer choice. And if an App Store app already does what you need, buying it costs less than custom code.

Questions

For extensions on the information, shipping and payment steps, yes; those are Plus only. Thank-you page extensions work on other plans too. Any plan can use Functions through public apps from the Shopify App Store, but a custom app with Functions built for your store needs Plus.

Shopify stopped running all Scripts on 30 June 2026, so each rule has to move to a Shopify Function, a public app or a native setting. I start from your old Script code if you still have it, or from how your discounts and shipping used to behave, then rebuild and test the rules in a development store.

Plus pays off when you need a customised checkout, B2B or extra expansion stores, or when your sales are high enough that its lower payment rates cover the monthly fee. My Shopify vs Shopify Plus post goes through when the upgrade makes sense.
