About Nabeel

I'm Nabeel Yaseen, a senior Shopify developer in Lahore, Pakistan, building since 2015, with 80+ Shopify stores shipped and a 5.0 Upwork rating across 81 jobs.

I work with brands and agencies on custom themes, speed and Shopify Plus, and I keep your US or EU working hours. I've worked on Shopify since 2017, my Upwork Job Success is 100%, and my rate is $45 an hour. I got into web development through a friend who built sites with his uncle, and the part I still like most is a client seeing their finished store for the first time.

How I work

You work with me directly, from the first call to launch. I've run client projects on my own since 2017, from scoping through testing to delivery.
I set my working day to your time zone: a full UK/EU day, or a late shift for US Eastern and Pacific hours.
You get a fixed quote in hours at $45 before I start, and I reply to messages within 24 hours.
Everything I build can be edited in the Shopify theme editor: sections and blocks with settings and presets, and metafields for product data.
Before handover I check speed with Lighthouse and accessibility with axe-core. You get the theme in your repo or as a zip, with a short Loom video on how to use it.

Experience

Jun 2026 to now · Independent Shopify developer, remote. Speed and accessibility audits (Lighthouse, axe-core, WCAG 2.1 AA) on live Shopify stores in Ireland and Canada, the pipeline that turns the results into PDF reports, and a growth strategy for a B2B wholesale store with 8,000+ products.
Jun 2024 to May 2026 · Gablr, Lahore (hybrid, full-time). Senior Shopify, WordPress and React developer: 20+ Shopify stores built from Figma designs on Online Store 2.0, with every section editable and Lighthouse 90+ at launch, plus WordPress sites and 10+ production React and Next.js apps.
Apr 2023 to May 2024 · Louise Carter, jewellery and fashion (remote, United States, full-time). Five Shopify stores with custom Liquid sections. I built checkout UI extensions and Shopify Functions there, and the freelance contract turned into a full-time role.
Jun 2022 to Apr 2023 · Freelance through Upwork. Shopify stores and storefront UIs for clients worldwide: custom Liquid theme work, cart and checkout customisation, and Figma, PSD and XD designs turned into responsive storefronts. Upwork has been my main client channel since 2017: 81 jobs, a 5.0 average and $40K+ earned.
Oct 2020 to Mar 2022 · Fan & Fuel, a branding and digital design agency (remote, United States, full-time). Senior e-commerce and front-end developer, leading the Shopify and WordPress builds for its clients, including Miller CAT, with every build held to Lighthouse 90+.

Senior Shopify developer running the brand's whole e-commerce side: 5+ Shopify storefronts and its marketing sites. I moved the flagship from BigCommerce to Shopify in two weeks with zero customer-facing disruption and built conversion features into the theme while revenue grew from $100K to $1M+.
